ARC Director Carol Dow-Richards spoke at the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Convention in Denver with the topic "Hear Us Roar" about the need for advocating for people with aphasia.  

The ARC Team had the honor of speaking in St. Louis to a large audience sponsored by the

ABC Brigade under the leadership of Kathy Howard. Their nonprofit is committed to raising awareness about stroke prevention and that there IS life after stroke.  


Aphasia Recovery Connection spoke at the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)  Convention in Orlando, Florida.

David and Carol presented at the following session: Isolation & Aphasia: The Importance of Building Connections & Community. Christine, David, and Carol presented at Aphasia in the Real World—Helping Clients Succeed When Therapy Ends (November 2014).

Christine and David spoke at the Youth Leadership Forum at the Ohio Governor's Council for People with Disabilities (August 2014). 

David was the keynote speaker for the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago's "Aphasia Day" (June 2014).

Christine spoke at the Aphasia Treatment Program at California State University East Bay (April 2014).

Christine toured the Adler Aphasia Center (March 2014).

David spoke in Cary, North Carolina at The Triangle Aphasia Project (February 2014).


David and Carol presented at the American Speech Language Hearing Association Conference in Chicago (November 2013).

The team held a 6-day conference. Partnering with American Heart and Stroke Association and St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, the local hospital. We had great success. ARC's conference had a social aspect with small groups and outings on the Las Vegas strip (June 2013).
